My background

January 2018
The promotion of our dev team into NYT's Ad Product & Innovation department catalyzed my career into Product Management. With our team now responsible for the development of NYT's ad product portfolio, it got me to hone in on my product sense.

Fortunately, my transferrable skills in agile project management (running scrum events, working with cross-functional design & development teams at agencies to build effective advertising/marketing products for clients) and marketing (developing targeted customer-centric marketing campaigns, managing ad budgets/timelines, running A/B tests to optimize performance), allowed me to make a fairly easy transition to break into this exciting new field.
December 2016
In October 2016, I made a major life change, packed up my bags, and moved to New York City. I hustled to secure an apartment and land a job as a hybrid Project Manager/Developer at The New York Times' in-house brand marketing agency, T Brand Studio.
November 2014
In May 2014, I enrolled into the second cohort of DevLeague, Hawaii's first engineering bootcamp to learn full-stack JavaScript development. The completion of this program allowed me to successfully redirect my career into tech to land my role as Interactive Project Manager at MVNP, one of Hawaii's largest ad agencies,

Featured projects

In addition to my full-time gig as a product manager, I enjoy building and developing products and companies for startups in industries I am passionate about, including education, film.

Ubran Parti

Urban Parti (UP) is neighborhood planning lab and innovation studio with a focus on dense urban areas. UP incubates new spaces, products and tools that are critical to the well-being of our neighborhoods and cities.

As an early member of its team, I worked to set up its initial branding, website, and bootstrapped tools to launch and grow its community.

FE&D

Film Education & Development (FE&D) educates and guides creators to implement effective film financing strategies to their projects. In addition to education, FE&D offers executive development services to help creators produce, package, and market their films/series for successful financing and distribution.

As one if its founding members, I set up and managed all marketing, operational, and technological aspects for the company. My contribution included developing and launching FE&D's online course product and executing marketing and growth strategies to grow MRR.

MRX

MRX is a global film and television rights marketplace for filmmakers and The platform works to streamline the sales and distribution deal process from months to days.

My contribution to the founding team of the startup included providing product consultation to improve UX and product design. I also helped to set up of all initial marketing, branding, and design/development of pitch deck for seed round capital raise.
